See the following announcement from the BSA Capital Area Council regarding a Cit. in Society merit badge counselor training opportunity. Training is required to teach this merit badge.
The council has climbing training this spring. For each type of training (tower, natural area, COPE) there's a Wednesday evening training at the Fickett Center followed by 1-2 weekends on site. Julia Evans is planning to take the tower training so reach out to her if you wish to carpool. The second weekend for the natural area training is during camporee.
For those going this weekend on the shooting and climing campout. There are two required forms attached to the calendar event. Both forms must be turned in before we can leave on Friday.
