We will be folding flags at the VFW on Sunday May 26 from 10 to noon. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate will be provided-Bring your own mug! This is a great way to support the VFW and earn a couple air conditioned service hours.

Hi All!  We are really trying to provide more merit badge opportunities in the upcoming months.  As SPL, Emily would like to see everyone get two merit badges during her term.  She sent around a google questionnaire form so the scouts could request merit badges and whether they wanted to do them before or during the meetings.  The top response was cooking and prior to the meetings so that is the first one that will be offered!  Can I have all of the adults go to the Join Troop 4443 tab on our website and follow the instructions under Merit Badge Counselor.

I have a collection of merit badge pamphlets that I can loan out to scouts working on a MB. I have made a list. You can find it under links. If you have a collection and are also willing to loan them out please add them to the list.

Do you have a stack of merit badge pamphlets at your house? Consider sharing them with the troop. I have created a spreadsheet listing the pamphlets I have. You can find it under Links in the menu of the website. You can add the pamphlets you have and your name so scouts can borrow from you. Or if you don't wish to keep the pamphlets you can give them to Emma E or Dr. Evans and we will add them to our collection and list them on the spreadsheet. Two merit badge university dates have been added to the calendar. The first one, March 25, is at the University of Texas at Austin and the second one, May 6, is at St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

The BSA Alamo Area Council is hosting a merit badge university in San Antonio on May 7, 2022. The merit badge university is an in-person, full-day event and a great way to earn, or start earning, up to four merit badges.

This weekend is the Monahans Sandhills campout! This has been on my bucket list for years.

We'll be cleaning up the park's interpretive trail as a community service project on Sunday. Pack workgloves to protect your hands.
