Are you familiar with all the tools we use to keep the troop and scouts organzied? Here's an overview of our three top used tools. Families and scouts should be checking all three things regularly.
This weekend is a four-day weekend for most area schools so we will not be having a troop meeting on Sunday. Enjoy your long weekend!
Our next troop events will be on Feb. 26 starting with a rank requirement meeting. This is your opportunity to learn scout skills and work on some requirements. We will work on the Totin' Chip and Fireman Chit for scouts that need those. Scouts that already have the Totin' Chip and Firemen Chit need to tell their patrol leaders or SPL what other requirements they would like to work on. Let your youth leaders know what you'd like to work on by this Sunday so they have time in advance to prepare for Feb. 26th. The rank requirement meeting is open troop wide, even if you aren't going to Crux Climbing.
Please take a moment to log in to the troop website and update your profile. Ensure you have both the adult profile and your youth's profile up to date.
See the invite below for Venture Crew 280's first meeting. Venturing can supplement your scouting journey with more adventure in a completely youth-led environment of peers. I will be at Crew 280's meeting. Let me know if you have questions.
VFW Post 4443 is hosting a Veterans Day event on Saturday, Nov. 12. This will be a full day of activities. Scouts can earn volunteer hours by helping. Troop 4443 will have scouts assisting during the flag retirement ceremony. Contact Stephanie Touchet or Sara Ryza for more info.
